Abandoned

Do you feel abandoned?
Do you feel all alone and that you're not special?
Are you caught up with the ways of the world because you want to fit in?
Are you drinking and smoking excessively because you are depressed and stressed?
Are you sleeping around because it makes you feel desired and not alone?

You Are Not Alone.

I just came across this wonderful testimonial from a young boy named Patrick who was partying and sleeping around because he wanted to be the guy that everyone like and the kind of guy every girl would want to be with.

I would like to share his story here. Do click play on the video. The article written by Nick on the bottom of the page is incredibly inspiring as well. Here's the link:

Please do not ever believe that you are abandoned.

God has promised in Deuteronomy 31:6 that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Vitiligo - You Raise Me Up

Vitiligo..

Another medical illness on my list..

I went to the skin doctor today and he confirmed that I have vitiligo. I was hoping that it might be some fungal infection but no, it was vitiligo. I guess now I know how Michael Jackson felt.

In this image-adoring world today, vitiligo could be devastating on a person's self esteem. Not to mention if you are working in an industry like Fashion. I have been reading up about vitiligo and it seemed like there is no cure for it. Just like fibromyalgia. However, the doctor prescribed some ointment that just might help. Fingers crossed! I'll leave the treatment in God's hands.

Neverending medical conditions pouring on me but I am thankful that I am still breathing, alive and kicking!
What is a little setback like medical condition. I have to admit it can be depressing, difficult and at times, you feel like a burden to others. It is difficult when you have to rely on someone to help you with daily tasks. It is depressing when you can't enjoy the things that you used to be able to do so easily and you feel like a burden  when others have to create time to help you.

I truly believe not to give up or give in to negative emotions. God knows. God cares. God understands and God has a plan.

No matter what happens, I  believe in miracles even if the miracles only happen when we reach our eternal home. God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Let us not be discouraged by a sudden illness or loss of job or any hardships in life.

I am deeply encouraged by Celtic Woman's 'You Raise Me Up'. The following lyrics really click with me and brings my soul to another level. Not to mention that their beautiful angelic voices really feels heavenly.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

God will carry us on His shoulders. Look at the cross. He stretched his arms and dislocated His shoulders for us. There is no greater love and deed to redeem us.

God loves you. Let not your illness be a burden but offer it up to God and He can turn it into something beautiful. This is a prayer for you and for myself. :)

Unstoppable

Happy New Year 2013!

Some of you may have known that I have been unwell but I am recovering and am getting better!
Thanks be to God for showering me His love through people that cared for me and even through the circumstances that He has put me through.

I have bought myself a new gift for the new year.

Guess what it is??!!

Ever heard of Nick Vujicic? The incredible young man with no arms and limbs yet full of faith and joy.

Unstoppable.

That's the book that he wrote and I bought earlier this year.
I have always been inspired by him ever since I saw his video few years ago and continued to be inspired even more through his latest book entitled Unstoppable.

The truth is, just looking at the cover page lifts me up! He is smiling and surfing, enjoying himself. If he can do that despite his circumstances, I can do that too!

Last year has been a tough year for me but I want to embrace this new year with faith, hope and joy. Reading this book has given me so much encouragement and very timely inspiration.
Sometimes we are so overwhelmed with our circumstances that we lose sight of the most important thing in our life.

GOD.

And sometimes we cling unto God but we fail to see that we need to go through the trials and tribulations in life to make us stronger and closer to God. We may think that God has forsaken us and give up on us but that's not true at all. God is with us even when we cannot see or cannot feel Him. Every season is an opportunity to learn something from our beloved Father be it humility, perseverance, faith, love or compassion and etc.

We need to be unstoppable. We need to put faith into action and keep believing and trusting in Him. We need to let the Holy Spirit guide us and lead us especially when times are tough. We need to surrender all our selfish desires and let God take control of our lives. Why? Simply because He is God and He is our Father, a Father who cares even the numbers of hairs on our head. He knows best what is good for us.

Let us not stop believing in Him.

Let us not stop trusting Him.

Let us not stop spreading His love and be kind to everyone.

Let us not stop using our talents for Him.

I pray with all my heart that all of you reading this will be filled with incredible love, hope, peace, faith and joy for this new year of 2013 and most of all, that each and everyone of you be Unstoppable in being who you are meant to be for God!

Have faith.

Much Love.

'Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers'. (3 John 1:2)
